A North Dakota pilot is the grand prize winner of the Alaska Airmen’s Association raffle.
Travis Wetherelt is the new owner of the 1955 Cessna 180, which was completely refurbished by Above Alaska Aviation.
The one-of-a-kind Cessna was supposed to be raffled off at the 2020 Alaska Airmen’s Association’s Great Alaskan Aviation Gathering. But that event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so instead association officials drew the winners on May 3.

Other winners include:
- Bradley Lecheminant, a set of Alaskan Bushwheel Tires
- Gretchen Hackney, an overnight Fly-In Fishing Package for Four
- Diana Roberts, two Praetor Flying Helmets
- Scott Fell, a ForeFlight package consisting of an iPad, a Performance subscription, and a Sentry ADS-B Receiver
- G Carreiro, $1,000 gift card to Northern Lights Avionics
- Doug Loder, $1,000 cash prize

- Matthew Schanilec, $1,000 gift card to Northern Lights Avionics

Proceeds from the raffle support the Alaska Airmen’s Association’s mission of “protecting, preserving, and promoting general aviation in Alaska.”
