On Friday, June 9, 2020, members of the Lakeland Aero Club, the largest youth flying club in the world, performed a fly-by to honor first responders and frontline workers who have worked so hard during the COVID0-19 pandemic.
The club, part of the Aerospace Center for Excellence on the SUN ‘n FUN campus at Lakeland Linder International Airport in Florida, flew in formation in a Piper L-18C, a Piper PA-11, and an American Champion 7EC Champ.

The fly-by’s route took the club members over the Lakeland Fire Department, Lakeland Police Department, Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, Polk County Sheriff’s Operations Center, Northwest & Southwest Command Centers, and Watson Clinic.
