Sporty’s has launched its own series of masks that are all about aviation.
The masks are made of 4-layered CDC compliant fabric. The lining and the interior fabric are 100% cotton and the exterior fabric is soft-spun poly. Masks have adjustable bands so one size fits most, and include a pocket for a filter. They are machine washable and measure about 7” x 5”.
Two styles are available:

Keep Calm and Fly On Mask: Playing off the British slogan in use during World War II of “Keep calm and carry on,” the slogan has been adapted with an aviation message. This mask is blue with the slogan in white.

flyGIRL Mask: This mask features the flyGIRL logo surrounded by aircraft on a blue background. A portion of every flyGIRL sale goes to support the group’s scholarship fund, which awards $5,000 to a woman (young or old) who is pursuing flight training.
Price: $14.99.
Hi! Speaking of over use of alcohol, how many G.A.pilots on any given day are too high to fly?
We’re all sick and tired of it. It will end when we have a working vaccine, not before, and not when some politician or other decides it is over to advance their own agenda. So far Covid 19 has killed more Americans than died in World War One, and Covid not only shows no signs of slowing down, it is increasing significantly. The projection is 200,000 deaths in the US alone by fall. The rest of the world is even worse.
Personally, I’ll wear a mask and be sick and tired. I find this infinitely preferable to being sick and then dead.
Sometimes life can be inconvenient. Making this political is stupid in the extreme, Covid doesn’t care what party you belong to, what you believe or don’t believe, or ANY of that stuff. Politicizing Covid is like politicizing gravity, it exists whether you like it or not.
Be smart, wear a mask, wash your hands, keep a low profile, all WE can do right now is that and wait.
It’s not smart to simply throw out big numbers that sound scary, though ironically that is exactly what politicians do. “killed more Americans than died in World War One” Sure, but what was the population of the US back then? If you want to compare one verses the other, you need to use percentages. You will be shocked at how tiny the percentage today is.
“Personally, I’ll wear a mask and be sick and tired. I find this infinitely preferable to being sick and then dead.” So by your logic you will be sick and then dead if you don’t wear a mask? That is not only false logic, but statistically not true.
Everyone walking on the planet is gonna catch covid-19 eventually.
Just like the flu and the common cold.
And they don’t have an effective vaccine for either of those.
But if you think wearing a mask is very effective then you would believe a chain link fence would keep mosquitoes out of your back yard.
But you be you.
You are free to wear a mask for the rest of your life.
I am free not to not wear one ever.
But the people making masks and selling them are having a field day.
When people stop dying
That sounds simple and certainly ideal, but that isn’t how life works. Millions of people die every day for all kinds of reasons, including COVID, plus thousands of other causes. Why are some causes OK and tolerated (such as alcohol consumption as one example) and others are not OK and not tolerated?
Alcoholism, accidental death, cancer and heart disease (as per your examples) can’t be caught by being together and breathing the same air in a restaurant, movie theater, concert, or church. That’s the difference you are missing between covid and other causes of death..
Ok, how about the flu? Usually there are more dead annually from that than anything else. What about SARS? What about Swine flu? None of this happy horse s**t happened during those outbreaks. If you’re worried about your exposure, stay home.
So sick and tired of this. When will this madness end?
When you accept the fact that certain individuals may have medical concerns that they should be allowed to take preventative measures without biased stigma from individuals who have a perceived high risk tolerance.
You seem to allow folks to consume excessive amounts of alcohol and not bothered by the results, I frown on over consumption that makes my encounter with a drunk an unsafe encounter. Do I want bars to close? No, I just wish bar owners would not allow their customers to put themselves into unsafe situations by over consumption. As a result, there are laws in place to try on stop the problem without success.
Accept the fact there are going to have different views on how best to handle this pandemic. We survived the Spanish flu with millions of deaths, many needlessly. We will survive this one also, with many deaths needlessly and a difference of opinions on how best to manage the situation.
