Celebrate Independence Day with an airshow

By General Aviation News Staff · June 23, 2020 ·

LiveAirShowTV is partnering with Thunder Over Cedar Creek Lake to broadcast the 2020 airshow.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down virtually all public events since late March, airshow fans have been craving some real flying action, LiveAirShowTV’s Jeff Lee noted.

For those lucky enough to be near Mabank, Texas, you can watch the airshow for free from a boat, the lake shore, and private property. The rest can catch all the action at LiveAirShowTV’s Facebook page starting July 3, with practice sessions, as well as the live airshow on the evening of July 4.

The entire list of performers is on the Thunder Over Cedar Creek website, with more expected to be added in the days leading up to the show.

“We’re excited to be able to bring all the flying action to the world,” said Air Show Director and premiere jet demo pilot Randy W. Ball. “LiveAirShowTV’s crew knows what these planes do and will let fans watch whether they are on a boat out in the lake, or halfway around the world.”

The show usually starts around 6 p.m. CDT. Watch for a more specific time as the show gets closer, officials advise.

Thunder Over Cedar Creek is presented by the Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation, which supports Fisher House, Navy-Marine Corp Relief Society, and CampV Tyler. Viewers will have the opportunity to make a donation to this great organization during the broadcast.
