The Flying Musicians Association (FMA) has awarded two FMA Solo scholarships to Jacob Burdette from Ohio and Jake Myers from Pennsylvania.
There were 39 outstanding nominees from all across the United States and Canada, according to FMA officials.
“The selection committee continues to be overwhelmed,” said John Zapp, co-founder and president. “The great news is that FMA has grown by 39 student musicians.”

The 2021 FMA Solo program kicks off this fall.
The scholarship takes an aspiring music student from zero time to solo. FMA covers roughly 15 hours of dual instruction, online ground school, training materials, and additional products from sponsors.

FMA officials started the scholarship program because they said they recognized the parallel skills involved in flying and performing music and want to promote both areas of growth.
