Backcountry pilots deliver aid to Navajo Nation

By General Aviation News Staff · July 8, 2020 ·

About 50 members of the Backcountry Santa Pilots delivered essential items in June to the Navajo Nation, which has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

The pilots took off from the Salt Lake International Airport, with their planes loaded with food, paper items, educational items and more.

“We are taking food and PPE and toilet paper,” Backcountry Santa Pilot member Michael Warlde told the local television station. “All the supplies you need in an emergency are the kinds of things we’re providing.”

The Navajo Nation, which spans portions of Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona, continues to be dramatically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. As of early June, there were 5,533 confirmed cases and 252 deaths.

The items flown to the Navajo Nation were collected by several groups, including the Utah Bar Association – Indian Law Division, Utah Juvenile Justice System, Utah Division of Child and Family Services, and other private groups.

Citizens of the Navajo Nation form a line to unload the planes.

“It feels really wonderful to be able to support a community that is in need,” Wardle said. “General aviation is an incredible tool to be able to help people.”

More than 50 members of Backcountry Santa Pilots participated in the airlift to the Navajo Nation.

There is no such thing such as “settled science”. Were it so, everyone would think the world still flat.
If Indian nation is truly Independant from USA law, why can they not import Hydroxychlorquine and its associated meds?
It seems big Pharma influences have caused the FDA to prohibit the use of the aforementioned drugs.
Are not the native Navahos entitled to exemptions from the FDA?
