Dynon plans week of ‘Oshkosh’ events

By General Aviation News Staff · July 14, 2020 ·

As part of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Spirit of Aviation Week, which kicks off July 21, 2020, Dynon Avionics will also host a weeklong series of events and programs.

“We are expanding our weekly live programming to complement EAA’s Spirit of Aviation Week event,” says Michael Schofield, Dynon’s Director of Marketing. “Although we’re sad that we won’t be able to visit with customers at AirVenture this year, we’ve planned a full week of events, virtual booth visits, forums, and other programs to connect with the pilot community.”

Dynon’s Live Events

Dynon’s Spirit of Aviation Week “Oshkosh” programming is an expansion of the virtual events Dynon has been holding in recent months. Examples of events include virtual booth visits, featuring a combination of sales demonstrations and training for Dynon and Advanced products; webinars about Dynon Experimental, Dynon Certified, and Advanced Flight Systems products; forums on planning for success in designing and installing a Dynon or Advanced system; and even a virtual “hangar” happy hour at the end of the week to connect more casually.

Dynon will also be giving away prizes to customers who participate in live events. Prizes may include Dynon jackets, Aircraft Spruce gift cards, Dynon Bucks, Made in WA products, and more. One lucky grand prize winner will receive a Dynon D3.

To be eligible to win the D3 you must register and attend at least one of the events between Wednesday and Saturday (Tuesday’s EAA event registration is handled directly through EAA and is not eligible for the grand prize).

Fundraising and ‘Not Show Specials’

Dynon is also offering a couple of “not show specials” this summer:

The D3 Fundraising Special offers $100 off of the normal pricing, and for every unit sold, Dynon will donate $50 to aviation non-profit organizations.

Sales through July 19, 2020, will benefit the Aerospace Center For Excellence, whose Lakeland, Florida campus’ funding was impacted with the cancellation of SUN ‘n FUN.

Starting July 20, the fundraising special will benefit EAA’s Annual Fund for Excellence, which funds many of EAA’s activities, including museum educational programs and lectures, safety and advocacy initiatives, resources for EAA chapters and homebuilders, Young Eagles flights, WomenVenture programs, and more.

Additionally, the Dynon “It’s not a Show Special” referral program rewards new Dynon and Advanced customers with a $250 rebate on a qualifying system, and as a thank you to the customer that refers them, a Dynon or Advanced Flight Systems jacket.
