ASA’s Private Pilot Virtual Test Prep updated

By General Aviation News Staff · August 11, 2020 ·

The fifth edition of ASA’s Private Pilot Virtual Test Prep is now available.

Using 3D and animated graphics, special effects, and air-to-air video, experienced flight instructors and experts deliver a “thoroughly entertaining and motivating learning experience,” ASA officials said.

The test prep includes nearly 11 hours of ground school videos, combined with Prepware Download Edition and Prepware Online, to prepare pilots for the FAA Knowledge Exam. Student pilots watch the videos to learn the material, then study the bank of questions, answers, and explanations on their computer, tablet, or smartphone — anywhere an internet connection is available.

Updated material includes information on BasicMed, Graphical Forecast for Aviation (GFA), significant weather prognostic charts, ADS-B, and the discontinuation of Flight Watch, HIWAS, DUATS, and World Aeronautical Charts (WAC).

This edition reflects current regulations, procedures, and the Airman Certification Standards, and provides an organized, easy-to-follow curriculum for the Private Pilot Certificate, ASA officials said.

The package contains four DVDs, 1 Blu-ray Disc, and a code for use with Prepware Download Edition and Prepware Online. Price: $149.99. Shipping begins in late August 2020.
