Video: The quest for the $100 hamburger

Smitty Smith, the force behind VansAircraftBuilders.com and FunPlacestoFly.com, recently posted a video to YouTube documenting a flight for the $100 hamburger from McKinney National Airport (KTKI) to Sulphur Springs Municipal Airport (KSLR) in Texas, to grab a burger at The Red Barn Cafe.

    That’s mild. We used to fly our C180 floatplane from Orillia to Henrys’ at Sans Souci for the pickerel fish and chips. Cost of food for 2 about $28,00, cost of gas there and back, about $220.00. I thought it was justified but my wife had different thoughts/ LOL

      I liked the T-shirts they used to sell at Oshkosh that read “My ex-wife wanted me to stop flying” – ha ha
