On Girls in Aviation Day, Sept. 26, 2020, the new Aviation for Girls app will be released.
More than 5,000 participants from nearly 35 countries are enrolled in the virtual event that will be delivered through the new Aviation for Girls App.

Thanks to support from the U.S. Air Force, the self-paced Aviation for Girls App is available to all for free, year-round.
While the app has been available to download since late summer, the content will be released starting Sept 26.
“Girls (and boys), ages 8-17, will be introduced to the amazing opportunities in the aviation/aerospace and STEM industries through engaging and inspiring content,” Women in Aviation officials noted.
The app includes:
- Information about aviation careers and scholarships
- Meet positive female role models
- Watch videos of virtual tours
- Access dozens of hands-on activities
- Listen to aviation book readings in English, French, and Spanish

Free activity kits are still available by enrolling at WAI.org/GIAD.

To download the app on your mobile device, visit Apple’s App Store or Google Play and search for WAI Events. For other devices, including Blackberry and Windows, go to Core-Apps.com/dl/WAI.
