Ask an aviation attorney

By General Aviation News Staff · September 30, 2020 ·

You might be inclined to call your usual attorney when facing an aviation-related legal matter. But aviation is so highly regulated that the law can be especially complex.

That’s why when you have legal questions, it’s best to consult with an aviation attorney, many of whom are pilots.

But how do you know what to look for in an aviation attorney?

James Viola

That’s just one of the many questions that will be answered in a free webinar, “Ask an Aviation Attorney,” hosted by James Viola, president of Helicopter Association International Oct. 1, 2020, at 4 p.m. (Eastern).

The panel includes three aviation law experts: Jon Kettles of the Kettles Law Firm; Mark Dombroff, a partner with Fox Rothschild; and a Sarah MacLeod, managing member, at Obadal, Filler, MacLeod & Klein.

Topics that will be covered in the webinar include:

  • The background an aviation attorney typically possesses
  • The types of cases an aviation attorney handles
  • What you should look for in an aviation attorney

HAI officials note that they are setting aside most of the webinar as an open forum to speak with the attorneys. “So sign up now and bring your questions,” they urge.

You can register for the free seminar at Register.GoToWebinar.com.
