Joshua Alexander submitted this photo and note: “Sloane Alexander, who is 9 years old, has logged eight hours in a Diamond DA40 with Kate Short of the Aspen Flight Academy, her CFI in Aspen, Colorado. Sloane is following a family tradition and will hopefully be a fourth generation pilot. Her great-grandfather, Bob Alexander, was a World War II pilot who flew the P-38, P-39 and B-25, and flew until age 83.”
