Sporty’s Crystal Christmas Ornament is an annual tradition for pilots, flight schools, FBOs, and aviation enthusiasts. This year’s ornament, the 36th in the series, features the Piper Cherokee.
“You’d think we would have run out of airplanes pilots love to feature on our Christmas ornament,” says Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman. “Even we were surprised when we realized Sporty’s had never featured a Cherokee.”
The Cherokee is a family of four-seat light aircraft built by Piper Aircraft starting in 1960 through present day. Designed for flight training and personal use, the Cherokee is one of the most known low-winged aircraft in aviation history.
