Latest edition of Private Pilot Oral Exam Guide released

By General Aviation News Staff · November 10, 2020 ·

Aviation Supplies & Academics has released the 12th edition of the “Private Pilot Oral Exam Guide.”

Written by Michael Hayes, the latest edition has been updated to remain in alignment with the Airman Certification Standards (ACS), and includes new information on BasicMed, aircraft maintenance, weather services, aircraft performance, weight and balance, and new technologies, including ADS-B, TIS-B, and SATR. Regulatory information has been updated to include SFARs, ICAO flight plans, and night definition.

This guide is designed to help prepare student pilots for the oral exam portion of their checkride with FAA examiners.

Using a question-and-answer format, the guide lists the questions most likely to be asked by examiners and provides succinct, ready responses. All the subjects a Private Pilot candidate will be tested on during checkride and review flights are covered, according to ASA officials.

Priced at $14.95, the guide is available in softcover and in eBook versions.

Would be awesome if they’d make it an audio version.
Most of my reading is when I’m doing other things.
