Aviation Supplies & Academics has released the seventh edition of the Dictionary of Aeronautical Terms, which contains more than 12,000 aviation-specific terms and definitions.
Originally written by Dale Crane, this reference collects all of the terms in Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, glossaries from FAA handbooks, advisory circulars, the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM) and Pilot/Controller Glossary, as well as definitions not found in government publications to serve as the “ultimate resource for aviation terminology and nomenclature,” ASA officials said.

This new edition accounts for the continuing evolution of aviation and aerospace industries, and includes drones, commercial space, and urban mobility.
New terms and definitions for weather products, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), human factors, and aerodynamics have been added, as well as terms pertinent to dispatchers and airline operations.
Nearly 500 illustrations further define and aid visual recognition of the terms, and tables and lists are included in appendices.
The softcover book is priced at $19.95, while eBook versions are available for $14.95.
