Web Manuals is inviting all unemployed pilots and aviation professionals in the U.S. to attend a free online training course in documentation control and compliance monitoring.
Following a successful virtual event for European attendees earlier this month, a second complimentary training session will be held Dec. 2, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific time, for those based in the U.S.
“The purpose of this initiative is to provide unemployed pilots and aviation professionals with an opportunity to enhance their skill set and to further prove their commitment to safety while job-searching,” said Krister Genmark, Director of Operations Americas at Web Manuals.

“Offering safety-minded training is a proactive response to the COVID-19 & Aviation: Time to Rethink statement released by the European Cockpit Association (ECA) on Sept. 24, which focuses on the skills and safety performance within aviation in a post-COVID world.”
“Alongside our free licenses for start-ups, we hope this course will be a useful step towards a safety-first rebuilding of the industry.”
The training focuses on how to work with documentation control and compliance monitoring in the Web Manuals system and covers the life cycle of aviation manuals, including how to monitor, edit, review, publish, and distribute operational documents.
This is the first time that training has been offered to people who are not customers of Web Manuals, according to company officials. Once completed, all participants will receive a Certificate of Completion Diploma to add to their resume.
