New scholarships for women pilots

By General Aviation News Staff · December 10, 2020 ·

The I Hart Flying Foundation has partnered with Immaculate Flight to launch more than $20,000 in flight training scholarships and pilot supplies for women.

The new scholarship opportunity, called “Seal Your Future,” was created to remind women that reaching their dreams of flight is possible and “to use all their passion, mind, body and soul to seal their future, no matter the adversity or challenged environment,” according to I Hart Flying officials.

“Addressing the shortage of women in aviation is at our core,” said Rachelle Spector, founder of I Hart Flying, which has awarded more than a dozen scholarships since its founding three years ago. “We’re grateful to our partner, Immaculate Flight, for stepping up as we help you ‘Seal Your Future’ in aviation through our biggest scholarship opportunity yet.”

“We’re excited to bring the funds forward and help tackle the gender gap in aviation with I Hart Flying,” stated Brett Logan, president for Immaculate Flight, an aircraft cleaning company with 10 locations across the U.S. “Our entire team is beyond amazed at how successful this organization has changed women’s lives in aviation through their scholarship and mentorship programs. Leading this effort, especially in a time of adversity, brings to light the absolute joy of practicing philanthropy, spreading generosity and turning dreams into reality.”

Candidates must follow the application requirements posted on the website, ihartflying.org. Applications are due by Dec. 29, 2020.
