The Air Race Classic, the longest running all women transcontinental air race, will not be held in 2021.
Originally slated for June 22-25, 2021, the race was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials revealed in a Facebook message.
“After considering all currently available information and in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ARC Board of Directors has regretfully decided to not hold the race in 2021. We are diligently working on an alternate flying event for this June that will be exciting and challenging. We will share the details with our racing public in the weeks to come.”
