It was a nice, sunny day with very little wind and a good day for a seaplane splash-in at the new seaplane base on Lake Harris at Leesburg International Airport (KLEE) in Florida on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021.
This splash-in was organized by Dave Hensch of the Florida Seaplane Association and sponsored by the aircraft float manufacturer Wipaire. It was supported by the airport and Sunair Aviation, which runs the FBO at the airport. For those who arrived by land plane, there was a shuttle service from the FBO to the seaplane base.
More than 40 straight float planes and amphibians arrived for the shindig.

There were plenty of places to park on the ramp and the adjacent grassy areas on either side of the ramp. For those float planes without wheels there was adequate dock space to tie up.

Wipaire provided a food truck near the ramp, as well as one free meal ticket for each aircraft that made an advance registration.

Fuel was available at the ramp for those who needed it via a Sunair Aviation fuel truck.

Everybody seemed to be having a good time swapping flying stories with new and old friends, and there were many different aircraft to look at.
It was clear that this second annual Seaplane Splash-In was a great success.
