MANCHESTER, New Hampshire — National Flight Simulator (NFS), a simulator-based flight school, is hosting its first Aviation Weekend May 1-2, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (KMHT).
All are welcome to attend, especially those who are interested in a future career as a pilot or wish to embrace flying as a hobby, according to officials. The rain dates are May 15-16. Masks are required for all attendees.

NFS will have its flight simulators available as well as free flights. Those interested in taking a flight must be 16 years of age or older. Several different types of aircraft will be available for attendees to check out and flight instructors will be on hand to answer questions.
“We wanted to pay it forward and open our facilities to those who are interested in becoming future pilots,” said Steve Cunningham, founder and CEO of National Flight Simulator. “The demand for pilots is increasing, and we want to offer a ‘test ride’ and allow those interested to ‘kick the tires’ and see if this career or hobby is for them.”
A $5 donation is requested to help cover the costs of fuel. In addition to free flights and access to flight simulators, NFS will offer free grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. The first 50 attendees will receive an exclusive NFS swag bag. Also, each attendee will receive one raffle ticket to win a one-hour, hands-on, discovery flight in which the lucky winner can fly the plane.
