Female aviators from more than 15 states will embark on a flying tour of South Dakota June 5-11, 2021, sightseeing in a state that has continued to welcome visitors with open arms.
“As COVID-19 restrictions began to lift across the country, the beautiful state of South Dakota was the first to openly welcome travelers and we accepted!” says Ladies Love Taildraggers Founder and President Judy Birchler. “We’re excited to come and explore everything South Dakota is famous for: The Badlands, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, and historic towns like Deadwood and Spearfish. We’re looking forward to a fun adventure, sometimes flying, sometimes driving across the entire state.”

Ladies Love Taildraggers is a worldwide organization of people who appreciate conventional gear aircraft, also known as taildraggers. Founded in 2010, it has held fly-in events annually, except in 2020 due to the pandemic. Members represent every facet of aviation: Recreational flyer to airline captain, mechanics and corporate pilots, student pilots and military aviators, according to officials.
Way to go, South Dakota! And special shout out to “THE” Ladies on their adventure tour in a great state!
Carry on, LLT!! My heart is with you.
