Having trouble understanding why flight training is under attack?

By General Aviation News Staff · June 26, 2021 ·

The headlines are ominous: “Flight training under attack,” “Concern about the future of warbird flying,” “FAA policy reversal on flight training.” But what is really going on?

To get the story behind the headlines, a new podcast featuring the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association‘s General Counsel Justine Harrison gives a good overview of the Warbird Adventures court case and its potential impact on flight training.

The latest episode of the Pilot to Pilot podcast tells the story in just 31 minutes.

This may go on for years, and in the meantime the assault on flight instruction is what it is.

It would be helpful if somebody could please research and publish a “how to” on getting a LODA to enable flight instruction for me and my family members in my own ELSA.

I’m sure a good few of the 30,000 or so other Experimental owners would also be interested.

    Thanks!

WE WILL need far more pilots ….why?

Here is the future of Global Air Mobility:

    NIFS Acronyms

NIFS – National Interstate Flyways System FASTA-USA – Future Air & Surface Transportation Alliance NASA-SATS – Small Aircraft Transportation System

    The NIFS
…is the future of air mobility in the 21st Century…

The VMG – Vision Mission Goal of the NIFS – the National Interstate FLYWAYS System VMG is the full implementation of the NASA-SATS Mission.

The NIFS program has three main elements:

    1. The NIFS System- a customer – operator based AI interfaced operational system that includes a NIFS financial clearing house system.

    2. The NIFS Flagship – The JRC aircraft is a BWB 50 passenger commuter combi designed to serve as many airports safely as possible – the large and especially small airports with FASTA quick-turns and other key operational features found in no other aircraft.

    3. The NIFS HUB airports – the USA will need a minimum of 10 NIFS Global HUB airports that include ALL air operators and ALL users including suborbital and urban air taxi elements.

All are invited to join the open door – no fee FASTA Alliance to work on one of the three NIFS elements.
