Swift Museum raffle takes off

By General Aviation News Staff · June 29, 2021 ·

The Swift Museum Foundation is preparing to host the 75th anniversary of the Globe Swift in  September 2021.  As a part of the museum’s fundraising activities, it is holding a raffle with a grand prize of a $30,000 credit toward the purchase of a Continental or Lycoming engine.

If the grand prize winner chooses, they can receive $20,000 cash instead of the engine credit.

Four additional prizes will also be awarded, including a Stratus, Garmin aera 660, ACR Resqlink 400, and a flight bag from Briteline Bags.

A $50 donation to the foundation places you in the raffle. Just 2,500 raffle chances will be sold. The winners will be drawn Oct. 2, 2021.

For raffle information and to purchase tickets, go to SwiftRaffle.com. Those who would rather purchase a ticket by phone can call the Swift Museum Foundation at 423-745-9547.

This is a great opportunity for some lucky winner to get a new engine. I was present when the winning raffle ticket was drawn a few years ago. I’ll never forget the look on the winner’s face ( a young man restoring a T-35 Buckaroo), when he claimed that engine credit prize!
