Aircraft Spruce launch partner for new USB charger line

By General Aviation News Staff · July 9, 2021 ·

MYGOFLIGHT has named Aircraft Spruce the official launch partner of the company’s new line of USB chargers called INFINITYPOWER, a two-part panel mount power solution that solves the problem of USB charger quick obsolescence.

“Aircraft Spruce has been involved with MYGOFLIGHT in the development and marketing of its INFINITYPOWER system providing our knowledge of airplanes, the pilot community, and the market,” said Rob Irwin, VP Marketing, Aircraft Spruce. “We are very excited to have been chosen to be the official launch partner of this extremely smart charging solution that will end USB charger obsolescence.”

The system is comprised of two parts, a Power Base Module and USB Module inserts. Once installed, the Power Base Module becomes a power receptacle capable of receiving any future USB Module. It can be installed in any direction and power can come in from the side or rear. It can be installed in the avionics panel, galley, in-seat or anywhere USB power is desired.

“We have worked with Aircraft Spruce for the past decade and have deep respect for their knowledge and perspective when it comes to innovative aircraft parts,” said Charles Schneider, CEO, MYGOFLIGHT. “They were one of the first to support bringing portable electronic devices into the cockpit and now will lead the effort to allow all pilots to instantly be able to upgrade their USB charging systems as these power-hungry devices demand more and more power.”

Ahhh – the $300 USB charger! Right in there with the $125 gasket and the $500 six-inch x 3/8-inch round steel pin. And you wonder why certificated airplanes are going extinct?
