New scholarship program launches

By General Aviation News Staff · August 9, 2021 ·

The I Hart Flying Foundation (IHFF), in collaboration with Phillips 66 Aviation, has launched a new scholarship opportunity for women in flight training.

“Fueling Flight with Harts of Might” brings more than $30,000 worth of cash awards, pilot supplies, training packages, and for the first time ever, support to attend one of the largest events in business aviation in the world. It’s expected to support multiple scholarship recipients.

Applications will be accepted until Aug. 29, 2021, with winners announced at the end of September.

“After watching the progress of our 17 scholars these last four years, we’re humbled to run an organization that’s impacting the lives of women of all ages to see their dreams take flight,” said Rachelle Spector, founder of I Hart Flying. “Taking it a step further and providing a means for our scholars to attend the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Oct. 12-14, is our way to ensure they not only network and engage with the industry, but they will also meet our partners face to face. We look forward to having a presence at this event, with our scholars and partners, a first for the foundation.”
