Bob Bement submitted this photo and note: “This little guy just loves airplanes. His dad says that he always wants to come out and see the airplanes. They live close to the airport and when he hears one start up he wants to come and see it. When I found out about the 3 year old with a passion for airplanes, I asked them to go for a ride in an airplane. I think he loved it, even if he had trouble seeing out, even sitting on a booster seat. I love to give first flights.”

I also thoroughly enjoyed giving first flights to children and teens. When at altitude I would encourage the young person to handle the controls. One time, after flying, a niece told her mom “I was doing so good I know I could have landed the plane but Uncle Jim wouldn’t let me.”
