Cutter Aviation has broken ground on a $12 million hangar complex at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport (KDVT) in Arizona.
The first phase of the 60,000-square-foot structure, expected to be completed by early 2023, “will give much needed relief to the hangar demand in this fast-paced growing region,” according to company officials. The complex also includes 3,700 square feet of office space.
“There hasn’t been any new construction at the nation’s second-busiest general aviation airport in nearly 20 years,” noted Will Cutter, president and CEO. “Our plan is to continue to invest in our community for many years to come, and this new hangar is just the beginning of many great things coming to the Deer Valley region.”
The Phillips 66-branded facility is the sole fuel provider on the field, company officials noted.
How many small, piston air aft hangars were destroyed for the big guys. How many people are now looking for new locations for their planes.
Company officials are wrong. Cutter is not the only fuel provider at Deer Valley. The Sibran self-serve facility is still there and flourishing on the north side, providing the same 100LL as Cutter for a significantly lower price. No truck delivery though, you have to taxi to the pump.
“sole fuel provider on the field”!? What happened to the Sibran 100LL self serve facility on the North-east side of KDVT?
