Airlite digital radio introduced

By General Aviation News Staff · April 5, 2022 ·

Radiant Technology has introduced AirLite, a 1.6-ounce digital aircraft radio that also receives AM/FM broadcast radio.

The AirLite Radio allows anyone to monitor aircraft communication, according to company officials.

It also has a built-in rechargeable battery, so that battery replacement is never necessary.

Key Specs:

  • Aircraft band, with correct 25khz channel spacing so that frequencies such as 134.025 are tunable.
  • Band scan for active frequencies (allows presets for AM and FM).
  • Clock and sleep timer.
  • USB charging cable, lanyard, and carrying case included.

Priced at $99.95 (with a special price of $69.95 through May 31, 2022), AirLite is available directly from Radiant and its distributors.

Orders are being accepted at RadiantInstruments.com. First shipments are scheduled for May 2022.

Exact same radio on Amazon is $31.

In the UK Airband Channel spacing is now 8.33khz, so this radio is not suitable.
