Arkansas’ oldest aviation company, Central Flying Service at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field (KLIT) in Little Rock, has a new owner: Tricoastal Ventures, a capital investment firm dedicated to commercial aviation.
Tricoastal Ventures bought the company from the Holbert family, the founders and owners for the past 82 years.
Central Flying Service provides flight training, aircraft sales, maintenance for propeller-driven and jet aircraft, including aircraft painting, interior refurbishment, and avionics upgrades and repairs out of several hangars on the west side of Adams Field.
The company will be led by Phil Jordan as Chief Executive Officer and Herb Knight as Chief Operating Officer. Both are partners at Tricoastal.
The new owners have plans to expand to additional locations, they noted.
“We have big plans for the company, and we have the right team to maintain a culture of quality and excellence while extending our reach,” said Jordan.
Central Flying Service’s new sister companies, American Kodiak, a dealer for the Kodiak 100, and Volare Air, a dealer for Tecnam aircraft, will use Central Flying Service for maintenance for Kodiak and Tecnam aircraft owners, company officials added.
