Foreflight introduces Sentry Plus

By General Aviation News Staff · June 15, 2022 ·

New from ForeFlight is Sentry Plus, the latest addition to the company’s ADS-B product line, offering new features such as a high-performance flight data recorder, g-Load meter, and more.

Developed in collaboration with uAvionix, Sentry Plus integrates all the capabilities of prior Sentry devices, including dual-band ADS-B In weather and traffic, WAAS GPS, carbon monoxide (CO) monitoring and alerting, AHRS pitch and bank, and more, according to company officials.

The 1.3-inch screen displays connection information and live flight metrics, including a new g-Load meter to monitor and record inflight acceleration.

Sentry Plus also introduces a new flight data recorder to automatically record, save, and transfer detailed track logs to ForeFlight Mobile in seconds for post-flight review and logging.

About the size of a wallet, the new device boasts a more than 18-hour battery life, according to company officials.

Sentry Plus is priced at $799, and is available for purchase from Sporty’s Pilot Shop in the United States.
