Compass Aviation, a non-profit organization that provides training to aspiring missionary pilots and mechanics, is holding a fly-in with a twist. There will also be a “one-of-a-kind” yard sale during the fly-in at Shelby-Cleveland County Regional Airport (KEHO) in North Carolina.
All kinds of items will be for sale during the July 23, 2022, fly-in and yard sale, including furniture, clothing, and knick knacks. There will be food as well, according to John Watt of Compass Aviation.
He notes that 100% of the proceeds from the sale will be used to support mission aviation and flight training scholarships.
“The airplane is an amazing tool that provides access to food, medical help, supplies, mail, and technical support to many overseas ministries and the people they serve around the world,” John says. “Highly-skilled missionary pilots and mechanics are desperately needed to keep these airplanes flying safely.”
The fly-in and yard sale runs from 6 a.m. to noon.
