“SAMS (Southwest Aeronautics Mathematics & Science) Academy is a free public charter high school teaching kids to fly. Students pay no money for this — not for fuel or books or a lab fee. With fuel prices skyrocketing I try to fill every single flight with three students to allow us to continue training in the most cost-efficient way possible.”
