Aviation Education & Career Expo slated for KJYO

ProJet Aviation will host the 16th annual Aviation Education & Career Expo Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at Leesburg Executive Airport (KJYO) in Virginia.

More than 800 students, educators, and parents are expected to attend the Expo, designed to showcase careers in aviation and aerospace to young adults between the ages of 16 and 22. Students can explore paid internship opportunities in addition to monetary, school-specific, and flight training scholarships, organizers noted.

The event features keynote speakers, live demonstrations, and representatives from more than 70 aviation organizations, including the US military, emergency medical airlift, law enforcement, government agencies, aircraft maintenance and avionics companies, drone and flight simulator operators, flight schools, and more.

Guest speakers and demonstrators include:

  • Frank Culbertson, retired astronaut and former commander of the International Space Station
  • Heidi Kemner, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Accident Investigator
  • The US Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team
  • Garda World Federal Services K-9 Unit
  • The US Army Golden Knights Parachute Jump Team
  • Medevac Demonstration from PHI Air Care 3
  • National Agricultural Aviation Aerial Dump Demonstration by Emily Daniel
