Lincoln Benedict submitted these photos with a note: “Did a fun adventure over the weekend that I’ve been pondering for a while: Marcy Field (1I1) to Mt. Marcy (5,344 feet, the tallest mountain in New York state). I brought my bike with me so I could get to the trailhead on the east side. Took the Phelps trail up and then Southside back: 16.5 miles. Refueled myself with an ice cream and two iced teas and back to the plane. What a delightful takeoff — with half fuel and a light load this thing climbs like a homesick angel. What a day!”
