The I Hart Flying Foundation has awarded $35,000 in flight training scholarships to five women.
As part of the foundation’s five-year anniversary, the foundation paired with four aviation companies to offer the scholarships: Immaculate Flight, Paragon Aviation Group, AEG Fuels, and Dassault Falcon Jet.
Winners are:
- Kelsey Harbison of Billings, Montana
- Hannah Rust of Northern Virginia
- Isvet Martinez of Aledo, Texas
- Kristin Brooks in Denver
- Valerie Meyer in Southern Illinois
Besides the flight training scholarships, the winners also receive in-kind donations from the foundation’s industry partners, officials noted.
According to officials, the foundation has awarded more than $150,000 in scholarship funding, training packages, pilot supplies, and flight training equipment to 26 scholars since 2017. The I Hart Flying team also provides mentorship and counsel to the scholarship recipients, officials added.
