Pilots fly a test run for the Airshow Racing Series
For the first time ever, the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show will have air racing in 2022.
Set for Oct. 15-16 at Russell Regional Airport (KRMG), the air show will feature performances by civilian and military acts, in addition to the inaugural Airshow Racing Series.
Race pilots will navigate two lanes with 10 pylons spaced approximately 600 feet apart for the dual, slalom-style competition along the runway centerline. The course is a three-dimensional track for multiple heats. The winners of each heat will advance to the next round of competition, with a final champion awarded at the end of the day.

For a full list of performers and other information, visit the show’s website.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance, as no tickets will be sold on the day of the show, organizers advise.
