ASA updates Air Carrier Operations textbook

By General Aviation News Staff · December 1, 2022 ·

Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA) has updated its textbook, “Air Carrier Operations.”

The college-level text is used for Air Carrier Flight Operations and Airline Operations courses, as well as Airline Dispatcher Training courses, according to ASA officials. It also is “excellent preparation for airline interviews and initial airline pilot training,” they noted.

The book examines the many regulations governing an air carrier and focuses primarily on Part 121 air carriers, according to ASA officials, who note that additional coverage includes Part 119 and portions of Parts 135, 91, 61, and 25 of the Federal Aviation Regulations.

The fourth edition updates regulations including Part 111 and the Pilot Records Database, as well as type ratings, class, and category.

In addition, updates and revisions throughout reflect new FAA regulatory changes “to provide students, pilots, flight crews, dispatchers, and management professionals with the essential information pertinent to today’s air carrier operations,” company officials said.

The softcover book is $49.95, while the eBook is $44.95. You can get both in a bundle for $59.95.
