The Droner’s Manual updated

By General Aviation News Staff · December 6, 2022 ·

Aviation Supplies & Academics (ASA) has published the second edition of “The Droner’s Manual.“

According to ASA officials, author Kevin Jenkins, who has been a drone operator for government, industry, and hobby purposes, offers “step-by-step guidance to build, program, test, and fly multicopter, fixed-wing, and hybrid airframe aircraft for a variety of purposes.”

“This comprehensive manual covers uncrewed system components, aircraft set up, flight controller fundamentals and failsafe features, the flight-testing process, and flight operations,” ASA officials add.

The new edition incorporates regulation exceptions for recreational flying and introduces The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST). It also offers new information on smart batteries, solving GPS complications, drone photography, remote identification requirements, and more.

The softcover book is $24.95, while the eBook is $19.95.
