Old Pilot Tips

By Janice Wood · December 21, 2022 ·

Aviation safety advocate Gene Benson, who has flown everything from Cubs to jets and taught hundreds of people to fly, is now offering his “Old Pilot Tips” on his YouTube channel.

The tips are very short — around two minutes — and cover a variety of topics, including switching fuel tanks in flight.

With the number of fuel-related accidents we publish in our NTSB Accident Reports, it’s worth your while to take a few minutes to learn from an “old pilot.”

That is an excellent video, and a great idea for a series. The very basics of flying, and the most important.
