Sheltair has relocated its corporate headquarters from Oakland Park, Florida, to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE).
Initially built by Sheltair in 1987, the building was recently renovated. The two-story, 20,000-square-foot facility will accommodate nearly 50 employees while allowing plenty of space for additional staff as Sheltair continues to grow, according to company officials.
“I am so excited to finally have a corporate presence on an airport, especially FXE, where it all began when my father purchased hangars almost 40 years ago,” said Sheltair President Lisa Holland.
Founded in 1963 by Jerry Holland, father of current Sheltair President Lisa Holland, Sheltair operates 14 FBOs and a portfolio of more than 4 million square feet of aviation-related properties.
