In about six months, the 2023 edition of the Greenland Air Trophy takes off.
And organizers are looking for pilots and aircraft owners to join Team Americas.
Billed as the world’s most remote aviation event, the Greenland Air Trophy pits two teams of pilots — one from Europe and one from the Americas — as they compete in STOL and precision landing competitions after flying across the Atlantic Ocean.
The teams will meet in Narsarsuaq, Greenland, June 25, for the competition.
“Welcome to the only event in the world where getting to the start line is more difficult than the event itself,” organizers promise.
“It’s about the journey, not the destination,” they continue. “Though, for Team Americas, it is an easy way to get to Europe, and for Team Europe you can continue to Oshkosh — so the destinations are pretty cool as well!”
