Industry Expo includes career expo, seminars, and more

By General Aviation News Staff · January 18, 2023 ·

Registration is now open for the NGPA Industry Expo, slated for Feb. 9-10, 2023, in Palm Springs, California.

A pilot hiring career expo will be held Feb. 9, with more than 100 exhibitors, including major airlines, meeting with job seekers to discuss career opportunities in the aviation industry, according to officials with NGPA, an international organization of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) aviation professionals and enthusiasts.

The expo also will feature a variety of educational seminars and workshops, including sessions on how to prepare for a career in aviation, estate planning, ally support of the LGBTQ community, and more.

Keynote speakers include Marsha Ivins, an astronaut and veteran of five Space Shuttle missions at NASA who will speak about the science behind human spaceflight, her aviation background, and Space Shuttle aerodynamics; Brian Bishop, Major General, USAF (retired), who uses his experience from his 32-year Air Force career through storytelling to guide the audience on a journey through high-performance team building; and Alex Wagner, assistant secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.

To learn more about the expo and to register, go to NGPA.org. Price is $149 for NGPA members and $199 for non-members.
