Epic Flight Academy held a grand opening of its new flight school location at Tallahassee International Airport (KTLH) in Florida Jan. 14, 2023.
This is the third location for the Florida-based FAA Part 141 flight school, according to company officials.
“We chose Tallahassee as our third location because of its great facilities and proximity to other airports,” said Danny Perna, Epic founder and CEO. “We train hundreds of airline pilots each year, and it’s important for them to train in all types of airspace.”
Perna founded Epic Flight Academy in 1999. The main campus is at New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport (KEVB). Another satellite flight school operates at Ocala International Airport (KOCF). Epic also has an FAA Part 147 aircraft mechanic training facility in New Smyrna Beach.
