Tips for staying sharp when you aren’t flying as often as you want

By General Aviation News Staff · January 21, 2023 ·

With rains pounding the west coast and the threat of snow in the northern part of the United States, general aviation pilots may not be flying during the winter as much as they’d like.

A new video from CFI Jason Miller on his The Finer Points YouTube channel offers several tips for pilots who have been ground bound much longer than they prefer.

“If you’re having trouble staying proficient, here are a few things to think about on your next flight,” he says.

A couple of the tips:

  1. Make your next flight a mission
  2. Follow Your Procedures Closely
  3. Practice Emergencies.
