Aircraft parts company acquires its oldest competitor

By General Aviation News Staff · April 8, 2023 ·

GREELEY, Colorado — Online aircraft supply store BAS Part Sales has acquired White Industries.

Founded approximately 70 years ago, White Industries is one of the oldest companies in the business, recognized for leading the way in the salvage/used airplane parts industry, according to BAS Part Sales officials.

Along with a vast number of airplane parts and fuselages, BAS Part Sales gained four employees with more than 80 years of aviation experience, a second location in Bates City, Missouri, and 90,000 square feet of warehouse space, as well as 178 acres of yard for outdoor airplane and fuselage storage. The company currently has 26 employees, 48,000 square feet of hangar space, and about 10 acres of yard storage, company officials noted.

Additionally, the acquisition gives BAS Part Sales access to the business jet parts market, according to Jared Boles, president.

“Currently we are limited to general aviation, which is defined as piston-driven engines with propellers,” Boles said. “By acquiring White Industries, we gain access to jet engine aircraft parts and fuselages, and that is a huge step up for us.”
