Picture of the Day: Sunday flying

By General Aviation News Staff · April 24, 2023 ·

Kyle Wilson submitted this photo and note: “Kyle Wilson and his father, David Wilson, who are both private pilots, fly the Eagle’s Nest RV-12IS from Houston to San Antonio for the day. Kyle is home visiting his family from the United States Air Force Academy. He’s currently finishing up his junior year and plans a commission as an Air Force officer in May 2024.”

Kyle explains: “This aircraft is an Eagles Nest RV-12IS. It was built by high school students in Houston, Texas, as part of the Eagles Nest Projects at Clear Springs High School. This aircraft is Numbered 22 out of the 28 Eagles Nest RV-12s. I was one of the students who had a hand in building this aircraft, and my father purchased it following my acceptance into the United States Air Force Academy.”
