Thrust Flight, a flight school based at Addison Airport (KADS) near Dallas, has partnered with Rising Aviation High School, a private high school with a focus on aviation and STEM.
Starting in their junior year, students will begin flight training at the flight school.
“By integrating flight training into the high school curriculum, Rising Aviation High School can better equip its students for future success in the aviation industry,” officials noted.
“Our partnership with Thrust Flight provides a clear bridge connecting our innovative high school aviation program to the professional flight deck,” said Brent Fitzgerald, principal of Rising Aviation High School. “As airport neighbors with Thrust Flight, our high school students have the advantage of accelerating their flight training during the regular school day through a proven and industry-respected professional pilot program. We’re excited to see our students strengthen their career readiness, connect with the resources of Thrust Flight, and ultimately turn their dreams into reality in a very short time.”
Upon graduation, students will be eligible to enroll in Thrust Flight’s Zero Time to Airline program, an accelerated training course.
Four Rising Aviation High School students have already begun their flight training with Thrust Flight, officials noted.
