Spirit Aeronautics certified as FAA Repair Station at KFTW

By General Aviation News Staff · May 15, 2023 ·

Spirit Aeronautics as been certified as an FAA Repair Station at its location at Fort Worth Meachum International Airport (KFTW) in Texas.

Serving the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, Spirit Aeronautics operates from a 70,000-square-foot hangar at the airport, providing avionics installations, modifications, and flight line support for aircraft owners.

FAA Repair Station rules are specific on who can perform maintenance and approve an aircraft, airframe, and engines for return to service after maintenance has been performed, company officials said, noting FAA expectations for repair station personnel, training, facilities, and infrastructure are higher than for a typical Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) company.
