Helicopter Mode and Checklists added to iFly EFB

By General Aviation News Staff · July 3, 2023 ·

The release of Adventure Pilot’s iFly EFB Version 12.1 includes two new features: Helicopter Mode and Checklists.

“Adventure Pilot recognizes the unique needs of helicopter pilots and has developed Helicopter Mode as a dedicated solution within iFly EFB,” company officials explained. “Helicopter Mode encompasses a range of tools and resources specifically tailored to rotary-wing aircraft operations.”

The helicopter charts provide visual references, obstacle information, and landing site considerations, facilitating precise flight planning and execution, company officials said. The heliport databases offer information on landing sites, including communication frequencies and operating hours.

The new release also introduces the Checklists feature, a tool designed to streamline cockpit procedures for all pilots.

Pilots can create and customize checklists within the iFly EFB software, ensuring that critical steps are followed accurately and consistently, company officials said.

The new version is now available to all iFly EFB users. Existing users can upgrade to Version 12.1 through the Adventure Pilot website or by visiting the app stores for iOS and Android devices.
