Signature Aviation has opened a newly built FBO at Des Moines International Airport (KDSM) in Iowa.
The project features a 5,000-square-foot guest terminal accompanied by a 30,000-square-foot hangar and office area.
“As one of the fastest growing cities in the Midwest, Des Moines is a key stop for aircraft operators traveling to and from Iowa, and a vital aspect of Signature’s presence in the region,” said Derek DeCross, Chief Commercial Officer for Signature Aviation.

The new FBO includes a lounge with floor-to-ceiling views of the airport, a crew lounge, a conference room, internet cafe, and an outdoor fire pit area.
Glad to see this for my home base airport. Signature has a KDSM presence for decades and I’m glad to see it continue.
I hope this encourages more of the “fly over” private and corporate traffic to land on one of our 9,000’ (2.74 km) runways and enjoy the new Signature terminal.
Runways 5, 13, 31 have ILS. In addition all have RNAV including Rwy 23.
